Over the years, Sanders Theatre has hosted many historic occasions. On May 21, the venerable old space in Harvard’s Memorial Hall hosted yet another when the three oldest collegiate glee clubs in America performed a joint concert to the delight of everyone in the hall and untold numbers of alumni and friends who joined the festivities via a live web-stream of the concert.
Comments on the Foundation’s “Live from Sanders Theatre” page were a glowing testimonial to the musical excellence exhibited by the three clubs:
BEAUTIFULLY DONE!!!!! Thank you so much for the streaming video. It was a singularly BRILLIANT concert!!!! Cheers,
~Mark Powell – UMMGC 1989
What a great event and so thankful to see it live streaming. Thank you for making it possible. I am a UMMGC alum and was proud to see my brothers in song making great music with the Yale and Harvard.
Loved the ability to see and hear this historic event – thanks so much! Wish I could have been there!!
Marby and I are sitting in Chatham enthralled – and dreaming of the days of 1961. Our congratulations for the production. We’ve called people all over the country to watch!

Love to see the Yale Glee Club united with Harvard Glee Club and the Michigan Glee Club I enjoy the whole show… thank you… wonderful evening.
What a treat to be able to attend this performance online! I was disappointed not to be able to make the trip to attend in person, and was delighted that the concert is streamed live! Bravo! It is especially great to see these three fine organizations in joint concert! Thanks so much for sharing the concert! In tradition, camaraderie and musical excellence!
