2008 Sesquicentennial Tour 5th Anniversary Reunion… and a good time was had by all!On December 6th and 7th, the 2008 Sesquicentennial Tour reunited in Cambridge for our Fifth Reunion. Despite the bad weather for traveling – in a caricature of Cambridge weather we even had sharp ice pellets falling on us at one point – turnout was fantastic and it was a great weekend to catch up. Dinner at Grafton Street, the HGC and RCS Christmas Concert in Sanders, carousing in pubs, and a groggy sing the following morning were enjoyed by all. With that timeline it almost felt like reliving a normal night on tour, and the memories and friends were just as strong. ~Kelby Russell ’09For more on the reunion, click here…
HGCF is making a special $50,000 grant to HGC for their 3-week J-Term tour of the American West Coast this coming January. So, alumni giving is more important than ever this year. Between now and December 31, we need every available HGC alumnus to dig deep and help us raise the extra money to fund this grant. If you’re a regular donor to the Foundation’s Annual Fund, please consider adding a little extra PLUS gift to your annual donation this year in celebration of HGC’s tour. If you’ve never given to the Foundation before, this would be an EXCELLENT time to start. HGC tours always require substantial funding from the Foundation and your gift is a great way to help assure that the legacy of HGC tours continues and that today’s Gleeks can have that same great tour experience that thousands of Harvard men before them have enjoyed. Please make as generous a gift as you can.
