HGC to Present Keynote Performance at Centennial IMC!
The Harvard Glee Club, along with the Morehouse and Rutgers Glee Clubs, will be delivering the keynote performance of the 2014 Centennial Intercollegiate Men’s Choruses National Seminar at 8:00pm on Saturday, March 8 at the Nicholas Music Center of Rutgers University. This is an enormous opportunity for HGC to cement its standing in the choral community, and of course to further the tradition of men’s choral music.
We hope those of you in the New Brunswick area will join us; tickets are available by calling the Mason Gross School of the Arts Box Office at 848-932-7511.
Don’t miss out on this fantastic opportunity to join your voice with the men of the Harvard Glee Club and scores of your fellow HGC alumni at the 6th Annual HGCF Alumni Sing & Dinner in Cambridge on Saturday, March 1! Registration deadline is Wednesday, February 26th.
Why not make a weekend of it? Start at Sanders Theatre with the HGC/RCS Jr. Parents Weekend Concert on Friday evening, February 28 at 8:00pm. Then join us for a joint student/alumni sing in Holden Chapel on Saturday, March 1 at 4:00pm followed by drinks and dinner at John Harvard’s Brewery & Ale House at 6:30pm.
Our Holden sibling chorus, Radcliffe Choral Society, is hitting the road this Spring Break for a tour through Louisiana and Texas.
Concerts are currently planned for New Orleans, LA (3/16), Austin TX (3/20), and Forth Worth, TX (3/22). The women of RCS would love to see some HGC alumni at any and all of their concerts. More information is available at: http://www.hcs.harvard.edu/~rcs/tour/
Hosts are still needed in the Greater New Orleans area. RCS will be arriving on Saturday afternoon, March 15, and departing on Tuesday, March 18. If you have space to host a couple of RCS singers, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
Remembering the time you spent here…
At the Sesquicentennial Celebration Dinner in April, 2008, then-HGC President Quentin Sedlacek said, “Remember the time you spend here, the joys you feel–remember the thrill that wells up inside you and catches in your throat as you sing proudly beside your friends and know what it is to be a part of the Harvard Glee Club…”
